Design beautiful posters and graphic images with the new Canva Desktop application for Windows and Mac

Canva is a graphic design tool available as a web, mobile application and now also as a desktop application for Windows and Mac. You can create beautiful posters, presentations, social media graphics and other visual content using Canva.

Canva displays many professionally designed templates that you can choose and edit to suit your project needs. Canva is a free platform for use with paid subscriptions for some additional features.

Download the Canva application. To download Canva on your computer, go to canva.com/download and click the ‘Start Download’ button.

1

After the download is complete, open your ‘Downloads’ folder and double click on the ‘Canva Setup.exe’ file.

2

Canva settings will start the installation and start the desktop application automatically after the process is complete.

If not, launch the Canva application via the Start menu or from the desktop shortcut after the installation is complete.

3

Canva for Desktop is similar in workflow to web applications that we are all accustomed to. But it’s not just a wrapper for web applications, Canva has included a tabbed interface in a desktop application that lets you work on several designs simultaneously. Just like the way you do it in various tabs in a web browser.

However, having a desktop application does not mean you can use Canva offline. Canva is an electron framework based application and requires a constant internet connection to work, even on desktop applications.
